Rirratjingu Fuel Services Aims

Evolution of Rirratjingu Fuel

Rirratjingu Fuel is a Joint Venture with Cambridge Gulf Limited (CGL), of Kununarra Western Australia.

Established in 2012, Rirratjingu Fuel is a proven, reliable and globally recognised fuel supplier importing diesel directly from a regional distribution centre in Singapore. The company supplies over 50 million litres of fuel annually to Rio Tinto and other businesses in the region, including a 24-hour fuel outlet in Yirrkala and BP Nhulunbuy.

Between 2012 and 2024 a total of 128 shipments of fuel and over 500 million litres were delivered to customers across the region.

Rirratjingu Fuel is now an established and reliable player in the Australian fuel market. Despite the pending closure of the Rio Tinto refinery and mines, Rirratjingu Fuel will continue to supply fuel into the future. As the economy transitions, Rirratjingu Fuel is well-positioned to meet the ongoing fuel needs of the Gove Peninsula. RAC has worked tirelessly to establish Rirratjingu Fuel, and we remain confident it will remain a commercial leader in the Gove Peninsula Region as we move forward.
