AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES
Rirratjingu Property Management and Maintenance Services (RPMMS) was founded on March 5, 2020 as a private company. It is 100% owned by RAC. Our main focus is servicing our Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) contract with the Northern Territory Government. This housing maintenance contract for 130 properties in Yirrkala covers repairs like blocked drains, leaking taps, electrical issues, gas leaks, lock replacements, and more.
Supplementing this work, our team also manage a number of town assets, our own Malpi Village and staff houses.
RPMMS has created employment pathways for job seekers, making it the ideal business vehicle to drive RAC’s Indigenous Employment and Training Operations.
We have a large skilled Indigenous crew working with qualified tradespeople on maintenance and minor renovations. We expect the business to grow, creating more employment opportunities and career pathways.
RPMMS Services Aims
Rirratjingu Property Management and Maintenance Services has three main aims:
Maintenance Services for NT Government
To provide consistent, high-quality maintenance services for the Northern Territory Government’s public housing in Yirrkala.
Maintenance Services for RAC and Subsidiaries
To supply dependable, high-quality maintenance services to houses, gardens and building assets throughout Nhulunbuy, including RAC’s in-house properties and related infrastructure.
Training and Employment Pathways
In partnership with the Barawun Career Pathway Program, RPMMS aims to offer entry-level skilled jobs, training, and employment opportunities for the Rirratjingu and wider Yolŋu community in East Arnhem.

Garden Maintenance
RPMMS offers a comprehensive range of residential and commercial garden maintenance services. Our services include lawn care, pruning, hedge trimming, weed control, mulching and seasonal clean-ups. Our team is dedicated to maintaining tidy and thriving outdoor spaces.
All trade housing maintenance repairs
RPMMS also specialise in community-based all-trade housing repairs and maintenance solutions. Our services extend across all general house repairs, upkeep and replacements. We also provide the Nhulunbuy community with access to a broad range of handyman services.
Weed eradication
Our expert team specialises in the effective removal and control of invasive Coffee Bush plants. With extensive knowledge and experience, we use targeted techniques to safely and efficiently eradicate these unwanted species, preventing them from overtaking the landscape.
Culture and community support
RPMMS provides assistance in the planning, preparation, and support of ceremonial activities in the Yirrkala and Nhulunbuy communities. Our team works closely with local leaders and community members to ensure that each event is culturally respectful and seamlessly executed. Event Preparation
RPMMS actively supports the community by providing assistance in both the preparation and cleanup of local events. Our dedicated team works alongside event organisers to ensure all aspects of the event are well-coordinated. We help with venue setup, equipment organisation, and cleanup, ensuring the space is ready for future use.
