Education for the Future

The Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation is invested in supporting place based education outcomes at Yirrkala Community. The Rirratjingu Clan has a proud history of key members dedicating their lives to education, and the Corporation is well placed to add value to organisations currently delivering programs at Yirrkala.

Rirratjingu Aboriginal Corporation is proud to have supported the Dhimurru Aboriginal Corporation and Yirrkala School to deliver the well received Learning on Country Program. This program weaves modern education and traditional culture together in a week of education outside the classroom. This is  an opportunity for Yolngu elders to pass on knowledge to students.

Interstate students and Organisations have been privy to financial support for many years. The Corporation has supported Yolngu students to excel in Southern schools with the aim that these students may contribute back to the Yirrkala Community upon completion of study.
